I want to share a very interesting blog post written by Michael Prescott (as well as the many interesting comments) spurred by Dr. Raymond Moody’s seeming change of opinion regarding life after death for which he now presumably claims the concept is illogical and without a scientific foundation.
This topic lead to expanded comments that included scientism, materialism, and consciousness as they relate to NDE’s, deathbed visions, and seeing the dead. It’s a long read, but I found it very interesting. Having met Dr. Moody and spending 5 days with him in 2004, I find it hard to believe that he had turned a seeming 180 degrees from the stance he held when I was with him.

On twitter today, a person became a follower of my tweets, Diana Sebzda, and she is a grief counselor. Her work includes counseling people who are deeply grieving the loss of their pet.
In the research unit for the bereavement study at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, we included people who were grieving the loss of a pet. The people who took part in our research were owners of dogs, cats, and horses.
As Diana Sebzda points out in the video below, pet owners can form the same types of bonds wth their pets as they do with their family members. So, when their pet passes away, they can experience severe grief. I’m thrilled Ms. Sebzda provides a service that pet owners can find solace in. http://GriefGirlfriend.com
